 let's get straight right into it so there are lots of businesses or people who are looking for a 2d or an animator that is willing to pay for your work of animation well but who are these people where could you find this kind of people that are willing to pay for our animation work you can find these people on freelancing platforms such as fiber and Upwork and these people are called clients yes they're called clients there are a lot of other freelancing platforms but in this blog, we will be more focused on app work.

 So yes so what is app work is firmly e-lens or this that before it was an elance or disk I think and it's an American freelancing platform where the enterprise is an individual connects in order to conduct business so Upwork is not meant for animation work only but for all types of work but in this blog, we will be more focused on animation jobs or animation work-related if you have an account already you've logged in you could now search for all types of jobs especially animation so you could search 2d animation let's say and the result will be all 2d animation work-related and thousands of results of people who are looking for a 2d animator so 3 000 result is I mean it's a lot I mean maybe one of these people is looking for you for your service.

 Maybe but then again I just want to clarify it again this is not easy to make yes there are a lot of opportunities but there is also high competition because you are competing animators around the world well on Fiverr animators who are in fiber you're competing with them so you need to stand out you need to make a solid profile or portfolio to prove to the client to attract the client and let the client know that I am the one you're looking I am the animator that you are looking for so if you already have an experience or work related to animation it might help you and also if you have a portfolio already that would be great.

 So here are the steps that you need to do in order for you to start making money first of all you need to sign up on the website fill up everything as of course honestly fill up it honestly and correctly of course number two is to create a profile as best as you can do so remember that profile is the first thing the client would look at if you submit the proposal we'll talk about proposal later upload a professional profile picture upload your samples a portfolio and certificate if you have certificate I'll leave it to you guys there are other things that maybe I forgot to mention in this blog,

 I will leave it to you so step number three if you already have created a profile and steps that I've mentioned a while ago so you could start searching for the job that you're looking there are a lot of types of animation workplaces that we have infographics 2d animation 3d animation character animation um rigging and there are a lot of categories in animation so you need to be specific of what you can what exactly you can do to the client and number four if you have if you've searched for the perfect job that fits for your skills and today category where you're in so you need to submit a proposal but you need to remember this thing before you submit a proposal.

 After you create an upwork account you will be given i believe 50 connects and that 50 connects you will use to submit the proposal so you could not submit proposals unlimitedly connects are used to submit proposals sometimes you need to use four connects in order to submit one proposal sometimes you need two connects in order for you to submit one proposals maybe i'll make another blog about in this one after you submitted the proposals all you have to do is wait for the client to reply on your proposal so yeah that's why it is the step number two is very very important creating a profile as i'm creating a profile because that's after you submitted your proposal the client will look into your profile and see if you are  the right fit for the job that they are looking or you are the right animator that they are looking so after that you need to wait yes it is a waiting game this is the hardest part of starting a freelancing career because you have to build a portfolio somehow for you to decline to trust you that you are really trustworthy and after you submit the proposals you need to wait for the client to respond on your proposal.
